Kootenay Lake Cabin For Rent
Nestled on 18.8 acres, our McEwan Point Lakefront Cabin for two overlooks magnificent Kootenay Lake and is surrounded by the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain ranges. Private, pristine and the most incredible views in the Kootenays! You will feel your stress just melt away! We are located 4 ½ kms North of the Balfour Ferry Landing, 30 minutes north of Nelson and 10 minutes south of Ainsworth Hot Springs. Excellent swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, biking and golfing (the Balfour Golf course is just 5 minutes away). Winter skiing is renowned at nearby Whitewater and Rossland Ski areas.
Architecturally designed, our cedar cabin, with a wall of south-facing windows, has beautiful hardwood floors, large central skylight and a two-tier wraparound deck – complete with patio furnishings. As you lounge on the deck, the lake is absolutely mesmerizing, with the mountains rising in the background. Bald eagles and ospreys frequently fly over the cabin with their latest catch. Or, maybe you would prefer to walk down to your other private deck that appears to float at the water’s edge. Here, you can step into the water or just relax on loungers and listen to the fish jumping, or watch the ferries go by.
Our cabin is immaculate and fully equipped with linens, cleaning supplies, kitchen cookware and appliances including microwave, fridge, stove, coffee maker (filters supplied), toaster, oak dining set, leather sofa, TV/DVD, CD Stereo, internet and cell phone access, gas barbecue on your deck, queen-size bed and complete 4 piece bathroom with huge sunken two-person tub. Although we have lots of wildlife on McEwan Point, we do have a no-pet policy. Also, there is no smoking in the cabin.
RATES
$1175.00 per week (one adult couple maximum occupancy)
Not suitable for children
Rental Period June until September
Check-in: Saturdays, 4:00 p.m. Check-out: Saturdays, 11:00 a.m.
Payment by: e-transfer, cheque or money order
A $200.00 security deposit is required at time of booking
Deposit will be refunded if the cabin is left as you found it, neat and clean
Rent is due 3 months prior to your arrival
Cancellations:payments will be refunded if another customer can be booked for your requested dates.
Your deposit would also be refunded
If there are no other costs incurred to rent your cancelled dates
